the spirit of giving from my 5 year old
For Zora's birthday, she had everyone paint little piggy banks and she has been adamently collecting money to put in it. She loves walking around the house looking for money (HUGE hint to Niko & Sasha...don't leave your money laying around!)
She walked in to the kitchen this morning with her other piggy bank asking if we can give it away. I told her that she could just take the money out and put it in her new bank but she told me "No, I want to give it away." I had mentioned earlier that morning how I needed to go by the animal shelter to donate cat food since Panda won't eat it, so she was all excited to donate her money to other cats.
We had a lot of errands to run this morning, but she was patient and kept asking when we were going to give her money away. Finally made it to the animal shelter and she was beyond thrilled. We walked up together with her money and cat food when she said "Hey! This is where we got Panda!"
It was so cute. The lady behind the desk was so warm and gracious to Zora. She really made a big deal about Zora's little donation of money and it was a great lesson on giving. As we were walking back to our car, Zora said "I like helping, Mommy." I like her helping too.

So, so, so sweet! I hope she will have a generous heart her whole life. She learned that from her mom!
